After graduating from Duke University with a degree in East Asian studies, I set off to travel the world. I had no idea how I would ever use my interest in China professionally until a health crisis prompted me to go to an acupuncturist. That experience open my eyes to a different way of understanding health and sparked an interest to learn more. I then enrolled in the masters program of the Traditional Acupuncture Institute, now known as the Maryland University of Integrative Health, from which I graduated in 2000.

Chinese medicine still fascinates me and I am still learning with each new client and with new teachers. My love for travel has continued as well. After practicing for many years in Washington DC, I moved to El Salvador for 4 1/2 years. Coming back to the U.S. my husband and I decided to settle in south central PA and I joined a former classmate Rob Bastress, practicing acupuncture here in Hagerstown MD.
